Hope You Like It - Shiny Collection (Copy)
Acrylic on Card, 21 × 29cm, 2025
This series of paintings translates raw statements into visual form. The works function as declarations - sometimes humorous, sometimes unsettling - emerging from personal experience and wider cultural references. Most of Them Just Wanted to Control Me draws directly on the artist’s reflections on past relationships. No One Likes Us, We Don’t Care references the infamous Millwall chant, detached from its context of football hooliganism and reimagined as a mantra of resilience. Similarly, Hope You Like It, Don’t Care If You Don’t distills an artistic position: an embrace of authenticity and autonomy in the face of reception. Together, these works embody a directness of voice, where language becomes both confession and shield, vulnerability and defiance.
All original works come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
