I work with objects I find or inherit - things picked up at car boot sales or already in my studio. Sometimes the idea is immediate, sometimes it takes time. I’m drawn to how objects can carry a message in a more pointed way: humour, discomfort, or both at once. A slogan on fabric lands differently than on a wall; a skeleton can say something a painting can’t. These pieces are as much about the object itself as the words placed onto it.
